USF Graduate Assistants United is the sole recognized bargaining agent on behalf of Graduate Teaching and Research Assistants at the University of South Florida. Ever wondered about the bargaining process? See below some questions that will be addressed at this FREE training session.

* bargaining schedule,

* which articles the administration has to bargain with us on and which they can choose not to

* how often we can bring up which articles. (if we bargain one part of one article, is the whole article on the table)

* legalese translation (“if practicable,” etc)

* how to best ascertain the pressing issues we need to bargain (from members, GAs, and the general bargaining climate–so we don’t “go for” what is impossible)

* how to establish bargaining independence (to bargain for ourselves, like UF)

* how best to refurbish our CBA (there’s so many articles that need total reform due to unclear language)
